Angel.i.choir began as an idea. An idea that seemed nearly impossible just years ago but formed out of the desire to say enough is enough. As all of us here have what could be considered a marginalized identity, we know how hard it is to need help but not receive it. Each and every day, people are overlooked, neglected, or discriminated against because of their identity and situation. We know that feeling of powerlessness, hopelessness, and frustration and decided we’re going to do something about it.
Angel.i. Choir seeks to empower the powerless.
Our first phase is missing children. According to the FBI, in 2021 there were 337,195 National Crime Information Center entries for missing children. A dispropriate number of these children are children of color and many are never found. For this phase, we’re going to hire Private Investigators and work on the cases that are left unsolved. Society has left many of these children behind, but we’re not ready to give up.
